This is an IT professional who has significant experience analyzing, building, configuring, and supporting InterSystems IRIS, IRIS for Health, and/or Interoperability in an enterprise IT environment.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade InterSystems IRIS for Health environments across development, test, and production systems.
• Configure, deploy, and manage IRIS for Health system configurations including application security, connectivity, and API configurations and components.
• Support the deployment of IRIS application and database components.
• Monitor system performance, availability, storage, backup execution, and resource utilization.
• Provide support and troubleshooting assistance as needed for various teams including application development, testing, and support; laboratory instrument middleware; software release/deployment; User Access provisioning teams.
• Manage backup and restore requests on behalf of application teams.
• Participate in annual Disaster Recovery drills to fail production systems over to DR systems and back.
• Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention.
• Collaborate with other IT teams, such as application developers, system administrators, platform engineers, and security teams to ensure the smooth integration and operation of the supported systems.
• Partner with other infrastructure teams and software vendors to address issues and proactively plan and architect the optimization and advancement of the platforms.
• Participate in support on call rotation.

Minimum education and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience managing or programming in an InterSystems IRIS or InterSystems Caché in an enterprise IT environment.
• Experience working with and supporting Linux and/or Windows Server based application environments.

Skills & Competencies:

• Significant knowledge of InterSystems IRIS for Health architecture and environments.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system support.
• Experience with Windows Server system support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with ITIL service management and change management processes.
• Knowledge of security best practices for IRIS for Health servers and applications.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation

• Oversee all IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity and data management.

Qualifications

• Ten plus years working with the InterSystems technology stack.  Specifically Cache and IRIS.
• Two plus years EDI experience.
• Five plus years manufacturing experience.
